European Football Unites Against FIFA's World Cup Investment Proposal

 European football's governing body, UEFA, and its 55 member countries have unanimously agreed to boycott all FIFA World Cups if FIFA sells stakes in its competitions to private investors. UEFA strongly believes the World Cup is a sporting legacy that belongs to the fans and players, not an investment product for sale. Despite FIFA offering each country up to $40 million to support the plan, European leaders and other global football organizations have fiercely rejected the proposal, calling it an irresponsible threat to the future of the game.
